Hello! My name is Jess Payne. That's me with my wonderful husband Taylor right there at one of my school's community engagement events. We love to explore new places, spend time with our animals, and try new recipes. We have five cats (Sharkey, Delilah, George, Pfeffernüsse, and Missy), one German Shepherds (Highway), a border collie/bernease mountain dog mix (Lulu), a chiweenie (Tabitha LuckyDragon Cooper), a chihuahua (Honeycrisp), and a small terrier mix who firmly believes she is a hat (Mazikeen).

I absolutely love reading and baking. And reading about baking. There's an amazing peace that comes with the smells and sounds of a place dedicated to books and learning. There is also something just so happy and wholesome about making something that can feed people. I love them both, and when I can combine those things I'm in absolute heaven.
